Welcome to Microbial Hub
The Microbial Hub is a bioresource center aimed to preserving, authenticating, and facilitating the exchange of biological data and resources. Our objective is to encourage access to biomaterials for both the general public and scientists.
About Us
The Microbial Hub is a premier bioresource center dedicated to the preservation, authentication, and exchange of biological information and resources. We aim to overcome research and development barriers in diagnostics and catalyze medical research and trials.
- Mission: Enhance access to biomaterials.
- Vision: Utilize advanced information technologies.
- Affiliation: Culture Collection Center of NUMS, Pakistan.
We value local native strains, clinical, and environmental isolates. By fostering collaboration and leading initiatives, we aim to speed up the transition of scientific discoveries from the lab to practical applications
Services
At Microbial Hub, we offer a range of services to support scientific research and the preservation of biological resources. Our services are designed to meet the needs of researchers, institutions, and industries.
Deposit Services
We provide secure and reliable deposit services for biological materials. Public deposits offer open access for the scientific community, while confidential deposits ensure restricted access to maintain confidentiality. Our safe deposit service provides secure storage for valuable bio-assets.
Technical Services
Technical Services
We offer specialized technical services for the isolation, identification, and preservation of microorganisms. Our isolation service adheres to strict protocols for bacterial isolation. The identification service utilizes the advanced VITEK® 2 system and MALDI-TOF for accurate identification of pure cultures.
Training Services
Our comprehensive training programs enhance skills in the biological field. Training includes sterilization and aseptic techniques, microbial culture techniques for isolation and maintenance, and hands-on training in HPLC, PCR, MIC, MBC, DNA/RNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, lyophilization, and cryopreservation techniques.
Collaboration
Actively partners with academic institutions and industry leaders to foster innovation and accelerate scientific discoveries.
